Alexis is the Founder and Director of Charlottesville Academy of Barbering & Cosmetology, brings more than 11 years of experience in the beauty industry. As a licensed Basic and Master Esthetics Instructor, Permanent Cosmetic Tattooing Instructor, Certified Milady Educator, and member of the Milady Administrative Advisory Board, she is dedicated to raising the standard of beauty education. Alexis has assembled a team of experienced educators who share her vision of providing hands-on training, exceptional student support, and career-focused education that prepares graduates for long-term success in the beauty industry.

LEAD BARBERING INSTRUCTOR

Ray is a Master Barber Instructor with nearly 15 years of experience in the barbering industry. Throughout his career, he has built a reputation for delivering precision haircuts, exceptional customer service, and a commitment to helping clients look and feel their best. Ray currently serves clients at The Barber's Den in Charlottesville, where he continues to refine his craft and stay current with today's barbering trends and techniques. As an instructor at Charlottesville Academy of Barbering & Cosmetology, Ray is passionate about mentoring the next generation of barbers. He is dedicated to providing students with the technical skills, professionalism, and confidence needed to succeed in today's industry. Drawing from years of real-world experience behind the chair, Ray creates an engaging, hands-on learning environment that prepares students for state licensure and rewarding careers in barbering.
